Most of the people have in their minds that its not easy to find big peoples on Twitter, Lots of achievements happening around us in world and we don't even know that who is behind them. To get to know such great people Micah has introduced "Follow Friday" concept.

Follow Friday is a great way to share top people to follow on Twitter. The brainchild of Micah who also has a blog on Start ups and Entrepreneurship.
Instead of searching for people interested in the same topics as yourself #followfriday gives you the chance to find recommendations from friends who they think deserve your attention.
You can waste time following some people who from first glance looked like good tweeple. Recommendations take away the pain and gives everyone the chance to give their friends a chance to interact with more people.

Follow Friday is a great addition to give everyone a way to find valuable people to follow.

The first follow friday

Give a short description of what someone tweets or if they're just a great member of the community simply big them up!

Here's my first #followfriday:

Give it a try and see how you find it for your professional growth.

JAJAH, is become a success story now the global communications company yesterday announced that it has connected one billion calls since it launched its platform. The company, which began as a web-activated-telephony service, has evolved to become the world's leading communications platform, partnering with telecommunications and technology companies such as Intel, Microsoft and Yahoo!

"High quality telephony is just the beginning of the JAJAH story," said Trevor Healy, JAJAH CEO. "Our simple to use, high quality calling services continue to take the world by storm, with more than 25 million users now using JAJAH directly."

"However, the evolution of the company is evident in the fact our billionth call came onto the JAJAH platform via Yahoo!, one of our partners. JAJAH's platform enables any organization to deploy proven, value-added communications services in a cost effective and time efficient manner. For example, Yahoo! uses the JAJAH platform to fully outsource the management of Yahoo! Voice, a premium calling service from Yahoo! Messenger and one of the largest VoIP services in the world," he said. The billionth call

The historic billionth call on the JAJAH platform was made by Ila Vasudev Zeff, a 29-year-old resident of San Francisco, CA. Mrs Zeff made the call on Yahoo! Voice. She was calling her mother in India, who she calls at least weekly since moving to the United States from India. Jajah rivals like Vopium, Truphone or Nimbuzz is also struggling hard to get their share in VoIP market.

Nimbuzz is on its way to shock the VoIP industry, The new joint venture in between Nimbuzz and Voxbone will facilitate the users to use application with out 3G or Wifi.

Voxbone, provider of worldwide telephone numbers and origination services for voice carriers, today announced that it has been chosen by Nimbuzz, the fast-growing, all-in-one mobile voice/chat/messaging service, to provide local access numbers. Nimbuzz is using Voxbone to enable its users to make voice calls – without benefit of 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity – to their contacts on any of all popular IM and VoIP services, including Gizmo5 and Skype.

Nimbuzz, running on all Internet-capable mobile phones, detects when the handset is out of Wi-Fi or 3G range and conveniently steps in, requesting permission to automatically dial a local access number and route the call over the Internet. Such calls are free except for the low charge (if any) to the local access number. The Nimbuzz software client determines the correct access number to dial from the user’s Nimbuzz profile.

Currently growing at a rate of over 750,000 sign-ups per month and operating in 200 countries, Nimbuzz combines the services of mobile VoIP, chat, location, file sharing and MMS under one application. Equally important, it works across popular communities and social networks, including Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, ICQ, GoogleTalk, AIM, Facebook and MySpace. Nimbuzz VoIP also reaches PSTN phones through Skype-Out, using any of 10 VoIP third-party VoIP services (including Skype). A full phone keypad is part of its interface, along with the multi-service buddy list.

“We wanted Nimbuzz to be a truly mass-market application,” said Tobias Kemper, Nimbuzz head of communications. “Not one limited to this mobile platform, or that chat/calling network, or a particular click sequence. By adding the DID numbers supplied by Voxbone, we can provide reliable mobile VoIP outside of Internet range and over 2G networks in over 50 countries, with any Internet-enabled handset and no change in user behavior.” Source...

Vopium was the first VoIP application that approaches Blackberry App world and their application is available there for Pearl, Curve and Storm devices. Now the race has started and Truphone took a second place to register their Blackberry clients on Blackberry App store.

For those of you with a BlackBerry smartphone, Truphone is happy to announce that BlackBerry clients are now available to download directly from the BlackBerry App World.

Truphone for the BlackBerry is designed to be easy to install and use, and a fantastic way to save money on international calls (plus it is free to download). And with the launch into the BlackBerry App World, it is now even easier to get started.

iPhone 3Gs is capturing the marketing very fast although as it is still in debates due to missing features, customers expectations where quite high this time from iPhone 3Gs. Here is got the list of 7 major things missing iPhone 3Gs.

  1. More Carrier Options: I think if Apple allowed more carriers to offer the iPhone, it would totally take over the market. I can't tell you how many people I've talked to that want the iPhone, but won't take the plunge because they either dislike AT&T, or just don't want to change providers.

To see the remaining six things Apple could add to the iPhone to make it just that much better, just read more.

  1. Lower Upgrade Prices: And I quote directly from Apple's product page: "For non-qualified customers, including existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G, the price with a new two-year agreement is $499 (8GB), $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB)." Now that's highway robbery.
  2. Camera Flash: It's great that Apple is giving us a great new 3 megapixel camera with auto focus, auto macro, and auto white balance, but what about a flash for those super low light situations? I was hoping . . .
  3. Push Email: The iPhone would be my all-in-one business and pleasure phone if I didn't have to obsessively have to check my inbox. Nuff said.
  4. Ability to Run More Than One App at Once: It's a pain in my rear when I am knee deep in a sweet Tetris game and receive a text message. I then have to exit Tetris, and enter the messaging app. Is there a way to pause one app while you open another? Well, is there!?
  5. Colors: Remember when the first iPod was just plain white, and then all of the sudden a rainbow of iPod Mini's, iPod Nano's and iPod Shuffles washed over us? Yeah, that would be awesome now too.
  6. Flash support: With the majority of websites using flash embedded videos, and some of the funnest games out there being flash, it would make sense to have this added feature. I mean, if you want us to surf the web on this little gadget, not to mention that some websites are all Flash, let us do what you made this phone to do — play games, surf the web, and you know, make some calls here or there. (From Geeksugar)
As my passion is VoIP so i would be more interested to write a complete review about iPhone 3G S experience after testing my all time favorite iPhone best VoIP application Vopium. Please share your experience if you have tested 3Gs for any best app in the mean time.

Many users are writing about iPhone 3G S performance and its features, in my last post you might observe that many reviews are against iPhone 3G S on top blogs but still it the most talkative device on blogs and forums now a days. Here i found an interesting comparison of iPhone 3Gs with the rest of the devices on one blog.

Andriod (G1 & G2)

Andriod was the first true competitor to the iPhone, and with more interest from cellphone makers and some promises of more Andriod Phones this year, Andriod is a growing threat to the iPhone.

The G1 never truly beat the iPhone to start off with, even though it came very close and is a fantastic phone for those of you attachted to T-Mobile. The iPhone 3GS continues the lead over Andriod’s army of devices, thought the mild changes don’t put it very far ahead.

iPhone OS 3.0 should do much more than the actual hardware of the iPhone 3GS. 3.0 will offer a lot of unique and compelling features that will bare over Andriod. Andriod still has some features that I would kill for on an iPhone (Push GMail, Physical Keyboard & Soft Keyboard, etc), but I think the iPhone pulls ahead of it, even with the still very apartent flaws in the iPhone 3GS.
RIM & Blackberry

Well, the Storm blew over and now one really cared, it wasn’t what RIM does best, but did try to give the iPhone a run for its money with Sure-Press. In the end, I think that RIM’s new generation of Blackberries poses a lot of threat against the iPhone, especially in the business market.

RIM and Microsoft already own the business market, but the iPhone has given good attempts to steal some of the market share from them. With exchange support, 3G networking, global search, push calender, push contacts, and push email, the iPhone offers enough to entice some of the busniess elite!

The business market has yet to taken by the iPhone, but the real war is in the genearl consumer market. Blackberries make great messaging phones and are more than business phones. The addition of the App World, better Media features, and better screens will push blackberries into the consumer realm and battle the iPhone, but it has a ways to go before it will truly challeng e the iPhone.

Windows Mobile

In truth, Apple murders Windows Mobile for Consumers, and gives it a good fight in the professional world. With the addition of more business oriented features, it will continue to push Microsoft back especially since Windows Mobile is fairly weak at the moment.

Mobile OS X is by far lap and bounds ahead of Windows Mobile, even thought Windows Mobile is more business oriented OS. If Microsoft doesn’t redo or make MAJOR changes to their OS, the preasure from both RIM and Apple could begin to take out Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile has yet to really compete with the iPhone.

Palm Pre and Web OS

The Pre is the first phone that really beat or at least matched the iPhone. Web OS seems really fast and its multitasking is something that the iPhone won’t have for a while (if ever!). Sprint is also better than AT&T, which makes the whole phone a little better.

With the additions of the iPhone 3GS, Apple definitely remains in battle with the Pre, but it doesn’t offer enough to knock it out. If anything, the lower price and features of the $99 iPhone 3G will make it a major threat to the other smartphones! Until Apple introduces some major changes like multi-tasking, switch to a better network (I really want them to go to Verizon), or something else game changing (I have faith that Apple could come up with something else that no one has thought of yet), the Pre is still on the level of the iPhone 3GS.

In Summary:

The iPhone 3GS retains all of the features of the older iPhones, which lets it pick up right where Apple left the iPhone 3G. This keeps it at the front of the pack and the changes that they’ve made have only helped it, but without any major game changing features, other smartphone makers aren’t too far behind. The lack of major upgrades also gives other companies time to catch up, which could lead to a smartphone that completely defeats the iPhone. For now though, the iPhone 3GS remains on top.

I have dig down top blogs about iPhone 3G S user reviews and few important reviews are as under:
@ TechCrunch
1. Very disappointed with the AT&T upgrade pricing for existing iPhone 3G customers. That’s hardly the way to treat customers who are willing to renew their service contracts to get the latest hardware. I will gladly cancel my AT&T contract for a Verizon iPhone 3GS.

2. This is total buzz kill. The “new” iPhone 3Gs looks pretty ordinary. Where is OLED screen? I would like to stay with my 3G until the next upgrade and the big fuzz is to get hold of my fav apps, i,e Guitar hero3, Vopium and light speed.

@ Tuaw
1. The difference between this year and last is that the original iPhones were not subsidized by AT&T. That's why they were $499/$599 out the door and eligibility didn't have to be determined prior to purchase. AT&T was getting you for 2 years, but with a residual revenue sharing agreement with Apple instead of an initial subsidy on the handset. It was a no-brainer to allow upgrades because they were getting you for an extra year in many cases.

2. Nope--voice commands, compass, video recording/editing, auto-focus are exclusive to 3GS.

@Mashable
1. They are ripping us off! They want only $199 from new customers, but existing customers must pay $499... Even with a 2 year extension. It's right on their website: "For non-qualified customers, including existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G, the price with a new two-year agreement is $499 (8GB), $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB)."

2. Well, I don't think Palm has to be worried about Apple stealing their thunder. This is all decent stuff for the iphone. I can't wait to see what the developers do with the new API's. But, this is going to do nothing to rain on the release of the Pre.

It seems that 75 countries will get their nokia n97 this month itself. And according to our sources, UAE will be the first country to get this device. Price would be around Dhs 3200. In USA nokia n97 will be available with out a contract at $699. All the nokia sites have already launched demos and pre-bookings. To see if its available in your country, visit your nokia website now.

Truphone has just released their new client 3.0 with the major new upgrade for the Apple iPod touch. Truphone 3.0 was already available for the Apple iPhone, so this release just brings the latest features to the popular iPhone touch.

IM services currently supported include Skype, MSN Messenger, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger and Google Talk. It also does free calls when in Wi-Fi to other Truphone users as well as free WiFi calls to Skype and Google Talk users. Though I would like to see 3G data support to enable VoIP over 3G. Yes I know Apple blocks VoIP over 3G apps, but if you jailbreak your iPhone, you should be able to make VoIP over 3G calls. (read my tutorial on how to do VoIP over 3G on jailbroken iPhones) Yet, there is no mention whether their truphone app will work over 3G on jailbroken iPhones. Ironic that in 2007 truphone was the first to demonstrate VoIP over WiFi on an Apple iPhone that they jailbreaked.

Of course, you could use Truphone Anywhere for free calls, but that uses the 3G voice channel not 3G data. It leverages a callback system that uses your bucket of cell minutes for 'relatively' free calling.
